Reporting a Repair
Welcome Swarcliffe customers to Yorkshire Metropolitan Housing's Repairs Reporting Service.
For Emergency, Urgent and Routine Repairs at any time contact our 24/7 Repairs Service on our local call rate number 0845 602 4238 where our trained Repairs Advisors will attend to your request. You may also book a repair appointment ( for non emergency repairs ) at a day and time convenient to you.
Emergency Repairs
The type of problems where we would expect you to use this service are:
- Serious bursts/leaking pipes
- Blocked drains (where flooding occurs)
- Guttering etc. (if loose or dangerous)
- Faulty locks/jammed doors (if property cannot be secured)
- Structural, storm and fire damage (to make safe only)
- Electrical power failures
- Serious heating problems
- Blocked waste pipes (mainly WC's)
- Broken windows (if security risk or dangerous)
- Roofing (if water penetrating or major damage/make safe only)
GAS ESCAPES - These should be reported to TRANSCO on 0800 111999
Emergency Repairs will be dealt with immediately. The emergency aspect of the repair will be completed within 24 hrs, if there is follow up work or certain parts required then the repair will take a little longer to complete and convenient arrangements will be made with you.

Reporting Repairs On Line
You can report your repairs on line if you wish, 24 hours a day, every day using our easy to follow diagrams and text boxes. You will find repairs reporting quick and simple and with no waiting! However, please note, Emergency Repairs can only be reported by telephone as shown above.
Our Repairs Advisors will attend to your on line repair request on the same day it is received or during the next working day if reported out of office hours.
We will send confirmation to you of the work ordered and the date it will be completed by.
For work inside your home or where an inspection is required we can make an appointment for you. Just enter 'Appointment Required ' in the Information box and we will get in touch with you to arrange a convenient day with a morning or afternoon appointment.
